Lufthansa Systems is deepening its investment in India’s growing aviation market, with the formation of a new subsidiary headquartered in Bengaluru.
Lufthansa Systems India will be a key part of the Global Capability Center (GCC) developed by Lufthansa Systems in collaboration with the Infosys, the Indian IT giant.
The GCC will leverage new technologies and AI-driven innovations to accelerate software and product development for both Lufthansa Group and its external airline customers.
“The launch of Lufthansa Systems India is a key step in our global strategy to build a resilient and diversified delivery model,” said Luigi Celmi, managing director of Lufthansa Systems India.
“Bengaluru’s dynamic tech ecosystem offers the ideal environment to grow our capabilities and attract top talent.”
With the addition of Lufthansa Systems India, the company now operates in 19 locations with a global workforce of around 3,100 employees.
Bengaluru will join the company’s strategic location portfolio alongside major hubs in Gdańsk and Budapest, further enhancing its international delivery capabilities.
“The establishment of the new location in India marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Lufthansa Systems’ journey toward a smarter, more connected future in aviation technology,” the company said.
