Ahead of publishing full-year results in March 2023, Germany's Lufthansa Group said it expects earnings of "around €1.5 billion" for the current financial year, up on the €1 bilion for the year before.
The airline group announced it "continues to see strong demand for air travel" as "average yields" in passenger traffic remain "well above pre-crisis level" and said it expected "record results" for Lufthansa Cargo and its maintenance division Lufthansa Technik.
"Earnings performance in October and November exceeded expectations", the carrier said, with the bookings for the coming months indicating "a continuation of the positive trend in the Group’s passenger business".
