Lufthansa Group has reported its total number of passengers increased for April 2019, coming in at 12.5 million passengers - up 3% compared to the same period last year.
The group has also stated that its available seat kilometres (ASK) was up 4% over the previous year, at the same time, sales increased by 6.5%.
In addition, the seat load factor rose by two percentage points to 83.3%, compared to April 2018.
The network airlines including Lufthansa German Airlines, SWISS and Austrian Airlines carried more than 9.3 million passengers in April – 5% more than in the prior-year period.
Its strongest passenger growth of the network airlines was recorded at the Vienna hub with 5.9%.
Lufthansa German Airlines transported more than 6.2 million passengers in April, a 4.9 percent increase compared to the same month last year. A 3.6 percent increase in seat kilometres corresponds to a 6.4 percent increase in sales. The seat load factor rose by 2.2 percentage points to 82.9 per cent.
The group reported that Eurowings carried around 3.2 million passengers in April.
