Racheal Ndegwa, Managing Director, Swissport said: “Air cargo handling and warehousing are crucial components of our business, and we are proud to match the needs of Lufthansa Cargo with our operational readiness and world-class facilities here in Nairobi.”
The Swiss aviation services provider currently caters to more than 20 airline customers in Nairobi, managing 320 flights and 5,800t of cargo on a monthly basis. In January, Swissport received a contract to offer passenger and ramp handling services at Kenya’s Moi International Airport.
Lufthansa Cargo currently runs flights between East Africa and its hub in Frankfurt.
