Lufthansa compensates passengers in boarding row

German flag carrier Lufthansa is to pay US$21,000 to each one of 128 passengers who were prevented from boarding a Frankfurt-Budapest flight in May this year.

At the time Lufthansa apologised for the incident, in which some passengers had allegedly refused to abide by pandemic-related mask requirements set out by the airline, but which affected passengers, many of them Orthodox Jews, said saw compliant would-be passengers denied boarding.
