Lufthansa Cargo completes first phase of new headquarters at Frankfurt Airport

Lufthansa Cargo has completed the first phase of its new headquarters at Frankfurt Airport.

Official building approval by relevant authorities is expected mid-December this year, which will allow the first 60 office workspaces in the new building to be taken into operation.

Three further construction phases will follow until the beginning of 2028. Phase two is scheduled for autumn next year.

The new 10,000 sqm office space is part of the company's modernisation of its cargo infrastructure at the Lufthansa Cargo Campus, including the ongoing construction of the new cargo hub at Frankfurt Airport.

The infrastructure project — known as 'LCCevo' — has a total investment of €600 million. By 2030, the existing 330,000 sqm cargo centre, including administrative areas, will be fully modernised while remaining operational during the project. The phased work ensures operations can continue undisturbed.

So far, all current construction activities remain on schedule for completion by the end of the decade.
