Lufthansa Cargo and CEVA Logistics ink SAF agreement

Lufthansa Cargo and CEVA Logistics have signed a binding sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) agreement, building on the memorandum of understanding (MoU) that the two partners signed this summer.

The deal will see Lufthansa Cargo supply CEVA Logistics with SAF, credited in 2025, which will amount to a reduction of 8,000 tonnes of CO₂.

“The agreement is a significant step in our partnership with Lufthansa Cargo and enables us to measurably reduce our CO₂ emissions and make our supply chains more sustainable,” said CEVA Logistics global air & ocean products VP Loic Gay.

“It is particularly important to us to do this with a partner who is committed to maximum transparency, clear sustainability standards, and reliable certifications.”

The deal runs to the end of 2028. The SAF will be produced exclusively from waste and residual materials, and will be palm oil-free.
