Lufthansa Cargo has appointed Frank Bauer as its chief operating officer, after previously serving as the company's chief financial officer. In addition, head of finance, controlling & accounting at Eurowings Gregor Schleussner has been appointed as Lufthansa Cargo's new chief financial officer, chief human resources officer and labour director.
“As an experienced aviation executive, [Schleussner] has already proven his financial expertise, problem-solving skills and unifying manner in various management positions within the Lufthansa Group,” said Lufthansa Cargo chairman of the supervisory board Michael Niggemann.
He added: “[Bauer's] technical background combined with his extensive experience in the air cargo sector will be instrumental in ensuring the continued success of the company.”
The appointments will be effective July 1, 2025.
