A Lufthansa A380 wheel caught fire during landing at Indira Ghandi International Airport, New Dehli.
The Times Of India reported that the flight, carrying 490 passengers, landed safely at the airport following a controlled landing.
A spokesperson from Lufthansa said: ""On July 1, after a normal touchdown of our flight LH 762 originating from Munich, our crew noticed an unusual rising temperature of the brakes on the A380.
""At the parking position, two tires blew off and a fire broke out on the corresponding brakes, which was immediately extinguished by station personnel and the fire department of Delhi airport.
""Passengers and crew were able to leave the aircraft via the gate in the normal way. The return flight LH763 had to be cancelled. The spare parts needed to repair the aircraft are currently on their way"".
