LOT holds privatisation talks

Sebastian Mikosz, chief executive of Lot Airlines, has stated that the company is actively seeking private investment. Speaking to the Financial Times, he said that the airline is “actively working on getting private money” and that it could be private equity or anyone”. The airline has indicated that it could launch an IPO if it cannot attract a buyer.

Mikosz said that a private equity firm or other alternative investor may be a more likely owner for Lot than an airline since they are used to investing in high risk assets.
He said: “If we do the restructuring well, in 12 months you can have a bond issuing, we can think about an IPO.”
