Over 1,400 workers at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 are to go on strike for 10 days in the period up to Easter Sunday.
The strike was announced by the Unite trade union, which warned of delays and disruptions to holiday travel at the terminal, which is used by British Airways.
The airport, which said the strike was unnecessary, added it it would keep the terminal open. The union said the strike was "entirely of the airport's own making".
"Workers at Heathrow Airport are on poverty wages while the chief executive and senior managers enjoy huge salaries. It is the airport’s workers who are fundamental to its success and they deserve a fair pay increase," said Unite general secretary Sharon Graham.
“Our members are simply unable to make ends meet due to the low wages paid by Heathrow," she said.
