Scottish airline Loganair is take over the Cardiff to Edinburgh route being axed by Flybe from next March. Loganair has had a franchise agreement with Flybe for five years and currently operates 25 routes under the Flybe brand from 11 airports.
Phil Preston, chief operating Officer for Loganair said: “It is great to be able to celebrate five successful years in partnership with Flybe and equally pleasing to further enhance our operation into Wales.
“We are delighted to take on the Edinburgh route, and by dedicating an aircraft to this operation, provide the required frequency on the route to support the local business community.
“Through our partnership with Flybe, we’ve been able to develop services across the UK and the Edinburgh route, which will also open up connections onto our extensive Scottish network including Orkney and Shetland, will be well received by business and leisure passengers.”
