Leadership changes announced by airline partner company Sabre

Sabre president Kurt Ekert is to also become the company's chief executive, replacing Sean Menke, who will continue to chair the board at the travel technology business.

Ekert will report to the board, where Menke will be executive chair and to which Ekert has been nominated for election at the company's April annual general meeting.

"I look forward to transitioning into the role of executive chair and welcome Kurt as our new chief executive officer. He's been a driving force at Sabre over the past fourteen months and I am confident he will continue to successfully lead this organisation into the future," said Menke.

"I am proud to be stepping into the CEO role at Sabre and eager to continue to advance our strategy while fostering a winning culture of empowerment, innovation and performance," said Ekert.

Sabre works with dozens of airlines in over 160 countries as a" leading software and technology company that powers the global travel industry".
