LCI has signed a framework agreement for 21 of the latest generation helicopters from Leonardo, comprising of 10 firm orders and 11 options.
The agreement covers light-intermediate AW169, intermediate AW139, and super-medium AW189 helicopters. Together, the agreement will collectively address industry renewal and replacement requirements.

The helicopters will be used in emergency medical services (EMS), search and rescue (SAR), and offshore energy missions. They will be allocated between LCI as well as with its joint venture with Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company (SMFL), SMFL LCI Helicopters. LCI's fleet currently includes 77 Leonardo helicopters in operation.

The new helicopters will be delivered through to 2028.
