Landarch Airlines has secured its air operator's licence (AOL), a precursor to obtaining an air operator's certificate (AOC), issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
In a social media post, Landarch Airlines announced the issuance of the AOL calling it a significant milestone. The airline also announced its plans to launch commercial operations in April 2024.
Landarch Airlines took delivery of its first 12-passenger Cessna 208B from Textron Aviation and is expecting the delivery of its second aircraft in 2024. The airline will take delivery of three more aircraft between 2025 and 2027. The airline announced last week that it would commence charter flights using a single aircraft.
The airline plans to fly its Cessna turboprops from its Hat Yai base to destinations within 60 minutes flying time that are inaccessible by rail or road. The first charter flight is expected to connect Hat Yai and Yala Betong.
