Korean Air selects Viasat for inflight connectivity on 40 787 aircraft
Korean Air has selected satellite communications company Viasat to power its inflight connectivity onboard 40 787 aircraft. It follows the airline selecting the company to power 30 of its A321neos with Viasat. The total 70 aircraft connected with Viasat are expected to enter service by the end of 2027. ""Our focus on enhancing passenger experience is crucial to our business - and adding more connectivity to our fleet will be a key step forward in achieving this,"" said Korean Air executive vice president and chief marketing officer Kenneth Chang. ""Bringing Viasat's reliable, high-speed connectivity to more Korean Air flights means even more of our valued passengers will be able to benefit from exceptional Wi-Fi onboard."" Viasat commercial aviation vice president and general manager Don Buchman added: ""We know that passengers around the world want to be connected in-flight, and our robust satellite network brings the reliable connectivity that enables this.""
