Korean Air expands international services for summer 2024
Korean Air has announced details of its upcoming summer season expansion, which the flag carrier hopes will boost international available seat kilometres to approximately 96% of pre-pandemic levels. Alongside an increase in existing route frequency, the airline will also resume daily flights on the Busan-Bangkok route after nearly four years of hiatus. Starting from April 2, Korean Air will resume three weekly flights between Seoul Incheon and Zurich, with three weekly flights on the Seoul Incheon-Zhangjiajie route following from April 23. As of the following day, four flights a week will also serve the Chinese destination of Zhengzhou. Additionally, the carrier will also increase flight frequencies across other popular routes in Europe, Southeast Asia and North America ‘in response to growing demand’. Korean Air concludes that it ‘will continue to monitor seasonal elements that affect demand on its expansive global network to provide optimal schedules and enhance customer experience’.
