Global law firm K&L Gates has appointed Matthew Pawlak as a senior associate in the asset and corporate finance practice. He joins K&L Gates’ London office from Linklaters.
Having also previously practiced at White & Case (Brussels), Watson Farley & Williams (London and Paris), and Macfarlanes, Pawlak’s experience includes acting for major aircraft lessors and advising lenders on facility and note purchase agreements, as well as drafting and negotiating transaction and security documents.
“We are pleased to welcome Matthew to our firm, where he will work closely with other aviation finance lawyers both locally -- including London partners Pete O’Hare, who we added to the practice in 2022, and Philip Perrotta and their teams -- and globally,” said Tokyo partner Robert E. Melson, Jr., a leader of K&L Gates’ global finance practice area and aviation practice.
K&L Gates’ aviation practice encompasses virtually all aspects of aviation law, including aircraft finance and leasing, airlines and charter operators, corporate and general aviation, airports and infrastructure, manufacturers and suppliers, tax, and unmanned aircraft systems.
