Kingfisher revival hopes remain

Kingfisher Airlines CEO Sanjay Aggarwal has met with the Indian aviation ministry to brief the ministers on the airline’s progress in resuming operations and to drum up support for the carrier’s application to secure its air operator permit in order to restart operations.

The carrier’s revival plan involves resuming flights with five A320s and two ATRs, rising in three-four months to 11 aircraft. Aggarwal was also meeting with ministers to ensure the carrier will be allotted slots at Mumbai airport since some have been granted to rivals.

The airline also stated that it hopes to pay salaries and clear dues to vendors.
