John Leahy, Airbus COO-customers, has been promoted to parent company EADS’ executive committee as part of a reorganization. Leahy retains his Airbus position while also joining the EADS group executive committee along with other new members, Airbus COO Günter Butschek and Cassidian CEO Bernhard Gerwert, EADS announced Thursday. Tom Enders, the former Airbus CEO until he was promoted to the head of EADS in May, said the goal was to make EADS “an even stronger international player in the aerospace and defense industry than it is today.”
The group executive committee defines overall strategies and policies, develops and coordinates key markets and campaigns, and identifies research and development, and product strategies. So, everything that John is involved in anyway but this time with a title.
