Joby Aviation will deliver two eVTOL aircraft to MacDill Air Force Base in 2025 as part of its $131 million Agility Prime contract with the US Air Force. Personnel will test and train with the aircraft at the base and surrounding area.
The contract includes the provisioning of up to nine total aircraft delivered to the US Air Force and other federal agencies. It delivered its first aircraft to Edwards Air Force Base in California in September 2023. A second delivery for the base is expected sometime this year.
