Blended wing aircraft startup JetZero has raised $175 million in its Series B financing, led by investment firm B Capital.
Participants included United Airlines, Northrop Grumman, 3M, and RTX.
To date, JetZero has raised and secured commitments of over $1bn, including government grants, incentives and commercial commitments.
The new capital will accelerate the development of JetZero's full-size Demonstrator prototype. The prototype is expected to achieve its first flight in 2027.
JetZero said the protoype for the blended wing technology is designed to achieve at least 30% improved aerodynamics compared to conventional tube and wing aircraft.
