Jettwings Airways, a new start-up airline is all set to launch commercial operations in India focussing on the hilly regions of North-east starting November 2023. The airline received its flying permit recently.
Jettwings has planned its base at Guwahati, Assam and will connect major cities in North-East India in the first phase of launch. The airline plans to deploy its A175 in the route. The airline will further connect and expand to other cities across India in the next two phases.
“We have arranged funding of INR 1bn for the airline venture and the plan is to gradually expand and make it a success. Our strength is understanding of the market in the northeast and the requirements of the people in that part of the region," said Sanjive Narain, chairman, Jettwings Airways.
