Jetstar is all set to launch a fourth weekly return service between Sydney and Seoul, South Korea starting February 5, 2024, subject to government approvals.
The new route will add 30,000 seats to the popular route every year.
Jetstar started flying between Sydney and the Seoul in November 2022 and currently operates thrice weekly return flights, carrying more than 60,000 customers a year between the two destinations.
The low-cost carrier is also expected to launch thrice weekly return flights between Brisbane and Seoul, effective February 1, 2024.
“Our Australian customers have fallen in love with Seoul’s mix of skyscrapers, vibrant nightlife, pop culture, rich history and incredible food,” said Alan McIntyre, Chief Customer Officer, Jetstar. “From February next year we’ll offer a total of seven return flights a week between Sydney, Brisbane and Seoul, across every day of the week, creating more than 240,000 seats in both directions. Having low-cost fares available everyday means thousands more Australians and South Korean travellers will be able to take the holiday of a lifetime. We thank the New South Wales and Queensland Governments, Destination NSW and Brisbane Airport for their support of the South Korean routes.”
