The company’s chief executive Robin Hayes told Bloomberg in an interview that JetBlue's long-awaited European debut will be delayed to a late-2021 start, at the earliest.
"Well, it's going to be later in 2021 than we originally thought," Hayes told Bloomberg, noting that he believes it will be good timing as pent up demand for travel will encourage more travelers to book tickets.
JetBlue first announced its plans to expand into Europe in April 2019 with aims to bring its LCC unique low-cost model to the transatlantic market. It had announced services to London but has yet to indicate what other cities it will fly to when service finally start.
