JetBlue CEO reportedly warns return to profitability will take longer than hoped

JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty reportedly told its staff that the company's return to profitability will “take longer than we'd hope” in a letter seen by CNBC.

The company said it was hopeful demand and bookings will rebound. “But even a recovery won't fully offset the ground we've lost this year,” Geraghty reportedly said.

As a result, the airline said it may cut further flights on weaker demand.

The airline reported a net loss of $208 million in the second quarter of 2025 and a net loss of $209 million in the prior quarter.
