Low fare UK carrier Jet2.com will cease flights between Blackpool and Jersey due to low demand on September 17.
The airline has blamed the terrible summer weather for the fall off in demand.
Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2.com, said: “Jet2.com has seen less demand for flights to Jersey this summer, the terrible weather in the UK may have encouraged people to go further afield.
“We are constantly reviewing our flying programme from Blackpool to give customers from the Fylde coast the destinations they desire.
“We have taken the decision to suspend flights to Jersey.
“We have however extended our range of destinations and have added the exciting destinations of Ibiza, Lanzarote and Dalaman, early bookings indicate that these will prove popular with our loyal Blackpool customers.”
