Jazeera Airways financial performance has rebounded in the first quarter of 2019, with a net profit of KD1.5 million (approximately $4.92 million) following a loss in the same period last year.
The Kuwait-based airline also reported a 31.2% growth in number of passengers when comparing its results in Q1 2019 to the corresponding period last year.
Operating revenue also saw an increase by 48.4%, coming in at KD21.3 million, with the airline flying a total of 529,640 passengers in Q1, maintaining a load factor of 76%.
In a statement, Jazeera Airways chairman, Marwan Boodai, said: “Jazeera Airways had a positive performance in the first quarter, supported by a growing and solid network, 2019 will be another milestone year for Jazeera Airways as we prepare to launch new routes in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and to the British capital, London."
