Japan investigation into JAL battery fire inconclusive

The National Transportation Safety Board’s (NTSB) interim findings on the January Japan Airlines battery meltdown have been deemed inconclusive.
The two-month-long investigation into the lithium-ion battery failure aboard the Boeing 787 aircraft is expected to continue with a review of the design, certification and manufacturing process of the battery system.
Currently, there has been no indication that the battery was overcharged.
