Japan Airlines reported revenue and profit increases for the full fiscal year 2025, ending March 31, 2025. The airline said this was driven by international passenger demand as strong inbound tourism continues for Japan.
International passenger numbers surged 14.4% in the full year, driving an 11.9% increase in the company's international passenger revenue, reaching 696.3bn yen ($4.9bn).
Consolidated revenues were up 11.6% to 1.8 trillion Japanese yen ($12.6bn) during the year, while net profits were up from 95.5bn yen ($669.8 million) to 107bn yen ($750.6 million). Additionally, the company's EBIT improved from 145.2bn yen ($1bn) to 172.4bn yen ($1.2bn) for the period.
For the fourth quarter, revenues totalled 458.1bn yen ($3.2bn), up from 402.5bn yen ($2.8bn) a year prior, while EBIT improved from 16.2bn yen ($113.6 million) to 28.1bn yen ($197.1 million).
The year end dividend increased from 40 yen ($0.28) to 46 yen ($0.32) per share, bringing the annual dividend to 86 yen ($0.60) per share.
