Jamco acquires galley equipment supplier IHFA

Jamco Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Iacobucci HF Aerospace (IHFA).

IHFA develops and supplies various galley inserts for commercial aviation. The company is headquartered in Ferentino, Italy, as well as having a global network of authorised repair centres.

Jamco is a Bain Capital portfolio company and Japanese manufacturer of cabin interior equipment.

As part of the transaction, Jamco will acquire 100% of IHFA's shares from a vehicle managed by Lichtenberg Capital and other investors.

IHFA will continue to operate as an independent company with its executive team continuing in their positions — led by Jamco executive chair Kate Schaefer.

“Our acquisition of IHFA is highly strategic and accelerates our transformation of Jamco into the leading partner for widebody customers in cabin interiors,” said Schaefer.

“The availability of Jamco's galleys with IHFA's galley inserts, together with potential collaboration in premium seats, will create significant value that capitalises on each company's strengths in engineering, design, certification, and customer service.”

The transaction is expected to close before the end of this year.
