BP Aero opens new Irving facility to double engine component overhaul capacity

BP Aero has opened a new 120,000 sq. ft facility in Irving that will more than double engine component overhaul capacity enabling new capabilities.

The new facility will allow for advanced repair capabilities on its portfolio of CFM, CF6, CF34, and GE90 engine components, as well as allow new capabilities to support growing demand on the LEAP, GTF, and GEnx engines.

BP Aero was acquired by Spanish engine services provider ITP Aero in February 2024.

“This expansion strengthens ITP Aero's position in the US aftermarket and reflects the direction of our MRO growth strategy,” said ITP Aero EVP of MRO Alan Jones. “By increasing capacity in component repair we are reinforcing our ability to support customers today while preparing for the requirements of newer platforms.”

ITP Aero's acquisition of BP Aero marked its first US acquisition.
