ITA tries to rev up US public relations drive

ITA Airways has announced the launch of a "new communication campaign with a focus on the North American market" with events in Boston, Los Angeles, Washington and San Francisco to take place in April.

"The goal of these advertising campaigns is to continue to grow awareness of the ITA Airways brand and support local businesses" as well as "to create a direct link between the Italian flag carrier and Italy, combining evocative and inspired images of our country with the blue of the brand".

The flag carrier, which replaced the better-known Alitalia brand in 2021, described the US as its most important international market and, after Italy, "the most strategic" due to the presence of the biggest of the Italian diasporas.

"Direct flights from North America to Italy are not just itineraries for tourism and business travel, but guarantee connectivity to the Italian community," the airline said in its statement announcing the PR campaign.

ITA Airways flies direct from Rome and Milan to New York, Miami, Boston and Los Angeles.
