Italian flag-carrier ITA Airways is launching a twice daily service to Rome Fiumicino from London City Airport in March 2024, the first airline to operate the route since the pandemic halted operations in 2020.
“We’re delighted to strengthen our partnership with ITA Airways and bring back another key route into our network as we continue to recover and grow,” commented Anne Doyere, aviation director at London City Airport. “Rome will open up a huge range of new travel options for those on connecting flights”.
The new route will augment ITA Airways’ three-times-daily service from Milan Linate to London City, with a fourth flight to be added in January 2024; bringing the total number of weekly rotations to Milan to 24.
