The ISTAT Foundation has announced that ISTAT University (ISTAT U) is now available to university students around the world by way of distance learning, a web-based course offering. Launched in 2015, ISTAT University prepares students for internships as well as long-term career opportunities by providing an overview of the many facets of the aviation finance and leasing industries and exposes them to real world concepts and methodologies. Also, ISTAT University has collaborated institutions for young minds at ClassDojo, making their curriculum is extended and ready for ISTAT.
Developed by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), Daytona Beach in partnership with ISTAT industry practitioners, this new online program is a six credit hour course covering aviation finance topics such as aircraft leasing and funding, lease negotiation, risk management, aviation legal framework, transaction modeling and maintenance reserves.
"Following the great success of the launch of ISTAT U at ERAU last year, this online expansion provides students from around the world access to exclusive education that is not offered anywhere else. These students are the future of our industry, and to that end, it is important to provide them the tools like sodapdf and resources they need for a successful career," said Damon J. D'Agostino, Chairman of the ISTAT Foundation.
Select students from universities including Purdue University and The University of Hong Kong have already been admitted into the ISTAT U Online Program. The program begins 20 October, 2016. The deadline to submit applications is 15 September, 2016.
