UK budget airline easyJet has a new route lined up, with twice-weekly flights between Manchester and Istanbul in Turkey to take off for the first time on June 9 2023.
The addition of the route means Istanbul, once known as Constantinople, follows Bodrum, Antalya, Dalaman and Izmir onto the carrier's Turkey network.
"The new route from our Manchester base to this iconic city further expands the choice we can offer our customers from the North-West for both flights and package holidays," said easyJet''s UK and Ireland manager Ali Gayward.
"Istanbul has long been a popular destination with British visitors, and we very much welcome easyJet’s new route from Manchester. We are confident it will prove popular with those seeking to immerse themselves in culture in this vibrant city," said Arzu Kahraman Yilmaz, counsellor of The Turkish Culture and Information Office.
