IndiGo is on a domestic expansion spree to capture a large chunk of India’s domestic aviation market. The airline recently commenced operations from Nashik in Maharashtra to three new domestic destinations namely Goa, Ahmedabad and Nagpur. The airline now has over 100 destinations on its network, 77 of which are domestic.
Nashik is IndiGo's 77th domestic and 103rd overall destination. The airline launched direct flights connecting Nashik-Goa (Mopa), Nashik-Ahmedabad, and Nashik-Nagpur.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, commented: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our operations from Nashik, marking our 77th domestic destination. This move connects India's golden triangle to a plethora of domestic and international locations through our 6E network. By enhancing accessibility to Nashik, famous for its rich history, we aim to promote commerce and tourism and boost economic growth in the region.”
IndiGo will also start another regional route connecting Pantnagar in the state of Uttarakhand and Jaipur in Rajasthan from March 26. The airline already connects Pantnagar with Lucknow and Delhi.
