Following two days of negotiations India and Iraq have modified a bilateral air service agreement to permit both to operate up to 12 flights a week to four different destinations in the other's territory.
Indian airlines will now be able to operate direct flights into Baghdad, Basrah, Al Najaf and one other, while Iraqi airlines can operate flights to Mumbai, Hyderabad and one unspecified other.
The existing Air Services Agreement (ASA) was agreed in 1955.
