Icelandair has stated that its first-quarter results will be better than forecast at the beginning of the year, due to increased sales and better fleet utilization. The airline says its expected EBITDA for the quarter to be negative in the range of $2 million to $4 million. Load factor on international flights was 4.9 percentage points higher than the year-ago quarter, and the exchange of the euro to the US dollar had been more favorable than expected.
The airline anticipates that EBITDA will be in the range of $160-$165 million for the full year, up from $154.3 million in 2014.
