Iberia Express to launch new route connecting Madrid Airport to Cairo

Iberia Express will launch a new thrice weekly route connecting Madrid Airport to Cairo, Egypt starting October 30 as a part of its winter schedule. The service will run on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays while the airline will deploy its A321neo on the route.

The route will be airline’s only route to Africa.

Speaking about the new route, Isabel Rodríguez, commercial director, Iberia Express said: “Adding Cairo to our destination map is a significant challenge that we are prepared to face with great enthusiasm. This city, famous as the embarkation point for cruises along the Nile, represents an investment by Iberia Express in promoting destinations with growing tourism interest. We are confident that our customers will enjoy not only the destination but also the onboard experience, meticulous service, and all the advantages of flying with Iberia Express.”

As a part of its winter schedule, the airline will operate scheduled services to total of 22 destinations, of which 11 are international namely, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, Dublin, Reykjavik, London Gatwick, Lyon, Manchester, Napoli, and Tel Aviv.
