IBA has appointed Chris Stibbs as non-executive chairman. Stibbs, who served as chief executive of The Economist Group until August 2019, currently acts as non-executive chairman of two private equity-backed information services companies, Times Higher Education and IWSR, and as Chairman of Nexxen International. He also holds a non-executive role at Oxford University Press. Commenting on his new role, Stibbs said: “IBA stands out as a market leader and renowned business with a proven track record, strong client loyalty and immense long-term potential. “Its distinctive ability to provide the aviation industry with cutting-edge data and analytics solutions, alongside highly reputed advisory services, positions it uniquely in the market. “I am delighted to be joining IBA’s exceptional team and offer my experience in guiding the development and growth of our digital and tech-enabled proposition. The outstanding reputation and integrity that IBA has quickly established for its data-driven insights provide a solid foundation for this exciting evolution.” Ravi Aujla, partner at TPA Capital, IBA’s investor and majority shareholder, commented: “We are delighted to have Chris join the Board at this important phase of IBA’s evolution. “Since we invested in the company in 2015, IBA has successfully built on its foundation as a trusted advisor to the aviation and financing industries, evolving into a leading provider of data-driven insights and intelligence.
