Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Aviation Group is to maintain and service PW4000 engines for Air Transport Services Group (ATSG)’s leasing company, Cargo Aircraft Management, under a long-term contract.
Maintenance will be carried out at IAI’s Bedek MRO Division facilities located in Tel Aviv. The MRO provider serves customers around the world and comprises a comprehensive range of MRO capabilities including aircraft, engines and subsystems; providing maintenance services at all levels. Bedek MRO also has “extensive experience in the fields of maintenance, repair and overhaul, for a variety of aircraft engines including the PW4000,” commented Ido Ben Cnaan, VP and general manager for Bedek MRO Aviation Group.
The contact builds upon a long-standing relationship between IAI and ATSG, with the latter having converted more than 150 767 aircraft for use as freighters by IAI’s leasing and airline subsidiaries.
“IAI welcomes this long-term contract and expects to deepen the business connection both between our companies, and with the American market,” concluded Cnaan.
