IAG Cargo boosts links between Europe and the Americas

IAG Cargo is adding transatlantic capacity for  summer 2023, taking it to 400 wide-body weekly services between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Flights between Madrid and Bogota are increased from 14 to 18 weekly services, with four Lima connections to be added, making it 11 weekly flights. Panama will have between five and seven weekly connections in summer, and daily services from November onwards, while there is to be daily service between London and Mexico. Flights between Barcelona and Chile will resume.

"Following a revival last year, IAG Cargo now services 33 per cent more destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean than pre-pandemic," the company said. Madrid to Havana will be increased to five per week and Puerto Rico to six per week by August, while there is to be daily London to Bermuda service.

"The increased frequencies offer our customers more options to connect their cargo to the rest of the world via our network which today covers six continents, and we recently introduced China back to our regular schedule – an important market for many exporters in Latin America," said Rodrigo Casal, regional commercial manager for Latin America and the Caribbean at IAG Cargo, the freight wing of International Airlines Group (IAG).
