Hybrid Air Vehicles, designer and developer of the Airlander10 aircraft, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dassault Systèmes and TriMech to implement a digital twin software platform focused on sustainability initiatives.
Under the new partnership, Hybrid Air Vehicles will integrate Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform into its business: a digital twin software solution aiming to promote Hybrid Air Vehicles’ pathway to zero-emission operations by 2030. “Through the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, we will access valuable insights into our aircraft, enabling us to minimise our own environmental footprint,” explained CEO of Hybrid Air Vehicles Tom Grundy.
Dassault Systèmes partner TriMech will implement and support the use of the 3DEXPEREINCE platform, drawing on years of experience across various industries. “What’s unique about this partnership is that TriMech Group has supported Hybrid Air Vehicles since its inception, from the beginning of its journey with Dassault Systèmes’ SOLIDWORKS applications, through to the deployment of more complex solutions,” added Solid Solutions CEO Jeremy Hines.
Hybrid Air Vehicles aims to commence production in 2024, subsequently moving towards hydrogen-fuelled, zero emissions flight.
