Malaysia Airlines has appointed Helen Argent as its new Marketing Head for UK and European markets. Argent comes with industry-wide experience having worked with global airlines like Etihad, Japan Airlines, and Qatar Airways. Her fields of expertise include consumer, trade, loyalty, and alliance marketing, joint partner campaigns, product launches, and reward programs.
Argent will replace Richard De Villa who stepped down to accept a position at Club Med.
In her new role, Argent is expected to work with UK travel trade along with Asian and Australasian tourism to drive new partnerships and revenue.
Daniel Bainbridge, UK, and Europe regional director said: “Helen brings broad marketing experience from a range of international airlines as well as hotel and hospitality experience, so she is very well placed to deliver our growth strategy and brand awareness, as part of our signature Malaysian hospitality. Alongside her global expertise, Helen has an excellent track record in guiding companies and teams to success.”

Malaysia Airlines operates to over 50 destinations across southeast Asia and Australasia via Kuala Lumpur.
