Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines is to resume direct flights between Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Paris, with the inaugural service scheduled for 28 November; marking the first restored connection from China’s central and western regions to Paris.
Round-trip flights, flown by a 787, will depart from Chongqing every Tuesday and augment Hainan Airlines’ existing European routes including direct connections to Rome and Madrid.
To date, the airline has newly launched or resumed over 30 international and regional round-trip routes from 10 cities, including Beijing, Chongqing, Changsha, Dalian, Guangzhou, Haikou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Taiyuan and, Xi'an; looking to further accelerate what it describes as ‘the resumption of existing and the launch of new international and regional services’.
