HAECO has extended its base maintenance support to Finnair’s Airbus A330 and A350 fleet through to 2026. In addition to base maintenance support, HAECO Hong Kong also partners with HAECO Cabin Solutions to provide cabin interiors support to Finnair. Both companies have been working on the long-haul cabin retrofit programme on the airline’s Airbus A330 and A350 fleets since 2021.
“Finnair is our valuable customer, and we are very pleased to be able to extend our maintenance support to their A330 and A350 fleet in the coming years,” said Gerald Steinhoff, Chief Commercial Officer, HAECO. “Finnair is also highly regarded by us for their ambitious continuous improvement and high operational standards. Our partnership has now moved beyond maintenance services as Finnair comes on board as a pilot customer for HAECO’s digital transformation programme. We look forward to this exciting collaboration and opportunity to learn from each other.”
"We value our relationship with HAECO, and the extension of our base maintenance agreement will ensure continued safe and reliable operations for our wide-body Airbus fleet. HAECO is a flexible and capable organisation that has shown its capability to renew in changing business environment. A positive, open dialogue allows for productive work to be carried out in cooperation with mutual benefit,” said Juha Ojala, Senior Vice President Technical Operations of Finnair.
Since 2008, HAECO has completed over 100 maintenance inputs for Finnair.
To celebrate the airline’s 100th anniversary in November, Finnair has unveiled a centenary livery featuring popular Moomin characters, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden, sharing a hug on two of its Airbus A350 widebody aircraft. The special livery makeover was completed at HAECO Hong Kong, and the aircraft are now deployed on Finnair’s extensive global network.
