Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) has joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as a member following the successful completion of the prerequisite IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).
Achievement of the internationally recognised evaluation system will allow GBA to begin collaborating with other member airlines on aspects such as interline and codeshare agreements.
“We are delighted to attain the IATA membership which is a recognition of GBA’s uncompromising commitment to flight safety,” said Mr Wong Cho Bau, chairman of GBA. “As the youngest Hong Kong-based airline, GBA shares the IATA vision of working together to shape the future growth of a safe, secure and sustainable air transport industry”.
GBA commenced scheduled services in July 2022 and will expand its operations to Singapore in April 2024.
