Goshawk Aviation has completed its second unsecured Schuldschein issuance following its debut issuance in November 2016. Goshawk is the only aircraft leasing company to access the Schuldschein market to date.
The issuance has allowed Goshawk to further diversify its funding base following on from the $566.5m US Private Placement in August 2017.
Launched at US$75 million, the issue was oversubscribed and was increased to US$100 million to meet investor demand. The issuance was entirely in the five-year tranche and proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes. The issue was arranged by Commerzbank and BNP Paribas.
Stephen Murphy, Head of Corporate Finance at Goshawk, commented “We are delighted to have again successfully accessed the Schuldschein market, adding a number of new lenders and further diversifying our unsecured funding sources.”
Goshawk has a committed and managed fleet of 114 aircraft on lease to 41 airlines in 29 countries, bringing the total fleet value to $5.5b
