Goshawk has entered into sale and purchase agreements with Airbus and Boeing for the purchase of twenty A320 NEO family and twenty 737 MAX family aircraft respectively delivering between 2023 and 2025. The conclusion of this transaction follows quickly on from the recent announcement that Goshawk has entered into a binding agreement to purchase Sky Aviation Leasing Limited and its portfolio of 51 aircraft.
Commenting on the transaction, Ruth Kelly, CEO of Goshawk said: “As a maturing leasing business, placing a direct manufacturer order is a natural and important part of Goshawk’s growth strategy and we are delighted to have concluded these two transactions with Airbus and Boeing. The new technology A320 NEO and 737 Max family aircraft will be the cornerstone of Goshawk’s business going forward and this direct order will allow us to offer an additional product to our many airline customers, in addition to the sale and leaseback and balance sheet solutions that we will continue to deploy.”
Goshawk’s owned, committed and managed fleet consists of 223 aircraft on lease to 65 airlines in 35 countries.
